Mission Statement

The Cuba Information Exchange (CIE) is a private foundation organized as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with an established interest in international relations to collect information related to Cuba for noncommercial purposes. 

Projects in or related to Cuba are designed to directly benefit the Cuban people. They are intended to benefit legitimately independent civil society groups to meet basic human needs.

CIE seeks to promote freedom of expression, multi-media communication, neutral and respectful dialogue to strengthen democracy and help build a civil society. 

Goals include providing informational exchange leading to support for independent organizations designed to promote a rapid, peaceful transition to democracy for the Cuban people. This includes individuals and non-governmental organizations that advance independent activity intended to strengthen civil society in Cuba.

CIE seeks to improve the living conditions of Cuban individuals in the private sector through an independent information exchange where innovative, economic solutions may be studied and learned.
